The Vitality of Chinese Culture: A Multi angle Interpretation of Cultural Vitality

Today, we are promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional Chinese culture. How can we deeply understand Chinese culture, stimulate its internal vitality, and help contemporary development? The book "The Vitality of Chinese Culture" has many reflections on this. There are six volumes in the book, focusing on this issue from different perspectives such as "understanding and expressing ourselves", "viewing Chinese culture from the perspective of national character", "rediscovering the beauty of Chinese", and "Chinese philosophy and artistic spirit". To understand Chinese culture, we must first start from understanding ourselves: who are we? What kind of spiritual power does Chinese culture provide to us? In the first series, the author pointed out that what kind of people will create what kind of culture, what kind of culture will create what kind of people. Today we discuss Chinese culture in order to better understand ourselves. As far as the law of development of Chinese culture is concerned, the author believes that the development of Chinese culture is not a simple replacement, but is constantly generated in the blending and superposition of various civilizations. Chinese characters are the basic elements of Chinese culture, reflecting the Chinese way of thinking and expression in understanding the world. In the third part of this book, the author shares his understanding of the beauty of Chinese language with readers from many perspectives, such as the cultural code in Chinese characters, the beauty of Chinese rhythm, the beauty of understanding Chinese language from classical poetry, and the wit and charm of dialects. The characters are bright, interesting and elegant, which complement the topics discussed. In the fourth edition, the author selected the summary to discuss the spiritual code behind the history of Chinese philosophy and art. Taking classical poetry and ancient painting and calligraphy works as examples, the author explained the spirit of Chinese art and demonstrated the unique image, artistic conception and interest of Chinese culture. In the fifth series, the author proposed that "such ancient villages among the three mountains and five mountains link up the fine and deep majestic roots of Chinese culture. It is precisely because of such fine and deep majestic roots that Chinese culture, a big tree, has been able to survive thousands of years of wind and rain and become more and more prosperous." The author believes that the root of Chinese culture lies in the folk, and the prosperity and endless growth of the folk is the nourishment of culture, which injects vitality into cultural development. Culture is the spiritual lifeblood of a nation. A serious and scientific understanding of our cultural traditions is related to future development. From this perspective, the author of this book tries to answer the question of the vitality of Chinese culture, which is a positive response to the development of the times and reflects the author's academic vision and responsibility. In terms of specific discussion, this book has broad ideas, vivid words, and many brilliant ideas. It is commendable that the author often combines real life to connect academic research with the world. The society is changing with each passing day, and people's production and life styles and thinking concepts are constantly changing. The culture from ancient times should accept the baptism of the times, and we also need to re understand our culture in a new historical position to better continue to inherit. The book "The Vitality of Chinese Culture" is instructive to interpret the vitality of Chinese culture in combination with social life and the changes of the times. (Liu Xinshe)
