On the 21st, the CPPCC National Committee held a learning forum on the Regulations on the Political Consultative Work of the Communist Party of China in Beijing. Wang Yang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. The regulations have condensed rich practice and successful experience in political consultation work for a long time, especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. They are the basic rules for doing a good job in political consultation work, and an important embodiment of the CPC's scientific, democratic and legal governance in the new era. They are of great significance for strengthening the Party's overall leadership, consolidating and developing the patriotic united front, developing people's democracy throughout the process, and promoting the modernization of national governance. Wang Yang pointed out that after more than three months of study, we have further realized that we should accurately understand and grasp the rich connotation of the CPPCC political consultation, adhere to the nature of the CPPCC, strengthen the function of the CPPCC as an institutionalized political consultation platform, earnestly organize the CPC's political consultation at the CPPCC, and better play the leading role in the construction of CPPCC consultative democracy, Improve the overall quality of the construction of special consultation institutions. We should adhere to consensus building through consultation and consolidate unity through consensus, be good at political consultation through the CPPCC, and translate the Party's propositions, lines, principles and policies into broad consensus among all parties, groups and people from all walks of life of all ethnic groups participating in the CPPCC, so as to gather strong forces for unity and struggle. Wang Yang stressed that studying and implementing the regulations is an important political task of the CPPCC. The CPPCC party group should consciously assume the political responsibility of the party's leadership over the CPPCC political consultation work, constantly improve the CPPCC political consultation pattern with the plenary session as the leader, the special session of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC and the special session of the CPPCC as the focus, and various consultative forums as the normal state, so that key consultations and regular consultations complement each other, and promote the mutual promotion of work practices and system improvement. We should pay special attention to the study, publicity and training of regulations, strictly regulate the process of political consultation of the CPPCC, scientifically formulate consultation plans, refine specific work plans, strengthen the construction of consultation capacity, give play to the political leading role of party members, and ensure that the principles, policies, decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee on political consultation work are implemented.
