Not long ago, the 2022 China International Trade in Services Fair ended in Beijing. From the meta universe, artificial intelligence to virtual reality equipment and 5G applications, various new technologies and achievements have been released in a centralized manner, reflecting the rapid increase in the "scientific and technological content" of global service industry and service trade, which enlightens us that the quality of economic development increasingly depends on scientific and technological progress and its application transformation. At present, a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial reform has emerged, and science and technology has become a solid base and strong engine for high-quality development of the service industry. We should let science and technology help industrial transformation and upgrading, and improve quality and efficiency. In the first half of this year, the scale of China's service trade has exceeded the pre epidemic level, with a year-on-year growth of 21.6%. Behind this, it is scientific and technological progress that has promoted the service industry to speed up and shift gears. For example, the rapid development and wide application of digital technology have given birth to new service concepts, new formats and new models, and also promoted the completion of digital, intelligent and platform based transformation and upgrading of traditional service industries such as cultural tourism, commerce and sports. In 2021, the scale of China's cross-border e-commerce will reach 1.92 trillion yuan, and the total import and export value of digital services will reach 359.7 billion dollars, with year-on-year growth of 18.6% and 22.3% respectively. Research shows that scientific and technological innovation is one of the five major trends of service trade innovation. Activating the enabling role of scientific and technological innovation is of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of the service industry. Scientific and technological innovation needs a good innovation ecology. For example, as the main platform for building an international science and technology innovation center "three cities and one district", Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone is committed to the construction of an all-round innovation system of "core technology+scenario application+innovation release" to achieve a positive interaction among innovation chain, value chain and industrial chain. Here, some research institutes set up a collaborative research platform to jointly develop the underlying blockchain platform integrating software and hardware, realizing the autonomy and controllability of the underlying technology. Focusing on the new track of the service industry in the digital era, we should be good at grasping the underlying technologies, public platforms and other elements to create a more dynamic innovation ecology for enterprises' independent innovation, scene application and integrated development. To promote the high-quality development of service trade, we cannot do without high-level openness and sharing. Service trade has always been an important aspect of China's expansion of high-level opening up. At this trade fair, 71 countries and international organizations including Britain, Italy and South Korea participated in the comprehensive exhibition. In the past five years, we have continued to reduce the negative list of foreign investment access. Last August, we took the lead in implementing the negative list of cross-border service trade in Hainan Free Trade Port, and the opening level of 120 service sub sectors exceeded the commitments made when we joined the WTO. From sharing the achievements of Beidou system construction to going abroad with anti epidemic equipment, China insists on sharing the achievements and development opportunities with other countries and is committed to promoting the innovative development of service trade. Only by focusing on the frontier can we inject impetus into high-quality development; Only by pooling joint efforts can we stimulate the greater potential of service trade. Looking around the world, the service trade market will recover rapidly in 2021, with a growth rate of more than 17%, which is far higher than the global GDP growth rate in the same period. Adhering to inclusive and win-win cooperation, grasping the trend of scientific and technological innovation, and working together to promote an open and shared service economy will certainly inject strong momentum into the recovery and development of the world economy.
