A few months ago, he just graduated from the Department of energy and resource engineering of the College of engineering of Peking University with a doctor's degree. After his defense, he entered the station smoothly and became the first postdoctoral to sign a contract with Jiangmen double carbon laboratory. At present, Jiangmen is deeply promoting the "science and technology leading" project, giving full play to the convenience of information, talent, capital and resource circulation in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Bay area, and continuing to expand the Jiangmen double carbon laboratory, the largest cutting-edge scientific research platform in the field of double carbon cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong jointly built with the Hong Kong University of science and technology. More than half a year since its inauguration, the laboratory has introduced a group of well-known experts and high-level scientific research teams in the "double carbon" field, including Changjiang Scholars. The first eight academic leaders and more than 50 young backbone scientific researchers with doctorate and post doctoral degrees have settled in the laboratory. "It's quiet and livable, suitable for scientific research." Qiu Kaixuan's colleague Chang Haoliang is a postdoctoral fellow of the Hong Kong University of science and Technology (Guangzhou), who is stationed in Jiangmen double carbon Laboratory for a long time. He would return to Guangzhou two or three times a week to discuss the research progress with his tutor. "It's very convenient to take the high-speed railway from Jiangmen station and arrive in Guangzhou in about half an hour." Chang Haoliang is from Henan Province. He moved to Jiangmen from other places to work this time. He did not expect to settle down so smoothly. Jiangmen double carbon laboratory covers an area of 83.5 mu, with a total construction area of 167000 square meters. It has comprehensive office buildings, public canteens, talent apartments and so on. "It's a five minute walk from the apartment to the office, three meals a day can be served downstairs, and there is a monthly living allowance, so I don't have any worries." He said. What attracts them more is that Jiangmen double carbon laboratory aims at the cutting-edge research directions such as silicon energy power system, new energy storage technology, ecological carbon sink and carbon resource utilization, carbon capture and storage, double carbon policy and system design, and takes the lead in exploring a new mode of government industry university research integration development of "double carbon laboratory + double Carbon Industrial Park". Entering the Xinhui new energy industrial park, the Jiangmen base project of Zhongchuang aero power battery and energy storage system is under construction. The last main production plant of phase I is expected to be capped in September. At the same time, China Innovation Aviation Research Institute, located in Jiangmen double carbon laboratory, was stepping up construction and would focus on new energy battery research. Since the beginning of this year, Jiangmen has planned three dual carbon industrial parks, Heshan silicon Energy Industrial Park, Xinhui new energy industrial park and Taishan Power Equipment Industrial Park, in combination with the green and low-carbon development needs of strategic emerging and pillar industries in Guangdong Province, focusing on the development of silicon energy industrial chain, new energy battery industrial chain, power equipment in power generation, transmission and distribution, as well as nuclear energy heating, gas supply, hydrogen production, seawater desalination and other industries. In the future, Jiangmen double carbon laboratory will "join hands" with enterprises in the industrial park to carry out R & D and application of "double carbon" technology. At this stage, the laboratory has successfully connected with a number of local enterprises such as Meida nylon, lvrun environmental protection, green lake biology, Guoneng Taishan Power Plant, etc., taking the lead in carrying out cooperation in the field of "double carbon", promoting the transformation of technological achievements, promoting the adjustment of energy structure and industrial technology upgrading, and promoting green and low-carbon development. Some research projects of the laboratory have been supported by national and provincial funds.
