China's space station's large-scale solar orientation device "debut" successfully: "China's Solar Flower" blooms in space

As we all know, the space station continues to operate in earth orbit, and the solar wing is not always facing the sun. The power generation efficiency of the solar wing will also change with the time and attitude. For this reason, the scientific research personnel of China Aerospace Science and technology group have developed China's first large-scale orientation device for Japan. It is mainly responsible for driving the rotation of the solar wing and transmitting the energy inside and outside the cabin. It is the real "energy Guardian" of the space station. (ask the sky module to direct the sun.) Sunflower is also known as sunflower. There is a special plant auxin under the flower plate, which allows it to continuously chase the sun and grow freely. A special component that allows the solar wing to track the sun in orbit in real-time is also included in the sky inquiry experimental module launched by China not long ago, that is, a large-scale solar orientation device arranged at the tail end of the experimental module. For the solar orientation device, the name that looks full of motion seems to be given life once it is proposed. As one of the key technologies of China's space station, after the construction of the future space station is completed, all kinds of scientific instruments, payloads and the electric energy required by the space station systems will depend on the large-scale solar orientation device to transmit from the cabin to the cabin. How does the orientation device for Japan realize stable orientation for Japan? The principle is not complicated. Researchers have installed a solar sensor at the end of the solar wing, which can monitor the incident angle of solar light in real time and send relevant information to the rotary transformer inside the solar orientation device. After receiving the relevant information, the attitude control system will send a control command to the solar orientation device, and the solar orientation device can carry out autonomous motion planning and accurately adjust its own state. However, driving the solar wing to rotate toward the sun in space is not as easy as sunflowers chasing the sun. Compared with the stable year-round and relatively slow temperature changes on earth, the environment in space is much more complicated. When the Chinese space station flies in an orbit about 400 kilometers above the ground, it will circle the earth in about 90 minutes. This means that the space station will experience 16 days and nights in one day on earth. Without the protection of the atmosphere, the space station had to face the sun. When the space station moves to the front of the earth, the sun is blazing outside; When the space station moved to the back of the earth, it was cold outside. For mechanism products, the thermal deformation caused by the space environment is one of the main factors leading to the mechanism stagnation. The larger the size, the more obvious the thermal deformation of the material. For this reason, scientific researchers added a layer of "temperature control jacket" to the solar orientation device. This enables it not only to withstand the scorching of thousands of degrees of the nearby engine in a short time, but also to withstand the external environment of "ice and fire" in space for a long time. Let the space station reap "steady happiness". Imagine that if we hold a large fan in both hands and rotate 360 ° with the wrist as the center for a long time, I'm afraid our hands will shake uncontrollably in a short time. The solar orientation device on the experimental module is equivalent to our wrist. It needs to drive two pairs of flexible solar wings, 27 meters long each, 276 square meters in total and 1.2 tons in total, to continuously rotate and stabilize the sun. This is proposed for the bearing capacity and rotational force of the "wrist"
