The "13th five year plan" national key publications publication planning project and the "history of modern Chinese editing and publishing" organized by the Chinese editorial society have been published by Zhejiang Education Press. As a comprehensive, systematic and in-depth work on the history of editing and publishing activities in modern China, the book shows the historical features and evolution of the modern publishing industry in China, and reveals the important role of publishing in saving the nation from subjugation, opening up people's wisdom, scientific enlightenment and building a modern society. Recently, the Expert Symposium on the history of modern Chinese editing and publishing, jointly sponsored by the Chinese editorial society, Zhejiang Education Press and the publishing School of Beijing Printing Institute, was held in Beijing. Hao Zhensheng, chief editor of the book and President of the Chinese editorial society, introduced that the book has bright spots in sorting out the formation of the editorial and publishing professional groups, exploring the special origins between the modern Chinese editorial and publishing industry and the development and growth of the Communist Party of China, and highlighting the deeds of the people. It is a "biography" for the outstanding editors, newspapers and publishers in the history of modern editing and publishing in China.
