It was founded in Communication University of China in 2006 and settled in Xining in 2011, officially renamed Xining first Youth Film Festival. This year's Film Festival is chaired by actor Zhang Ziyi, and the members of the jury include Cao Yu, Liu Qiang, Mei Feng, Yang Hongyu, Zhang Jialu and other filmmakers. They will review the 41 films that have been shortlisted, and determine the best feature film, best director, best actor and other 10 main unit promotion honors. The first "first frame" annual film invited actor Haiqing, film producer Nai'an, film critic and Film Festival curator Benjamin ELOS to form an independent jury to provide forward-looking suggestions for young creators from multiple perspectives such as film planning and review, film production and distribution, and film performance. Many new forces in the Chinese film industry have come to the fore in first. In 2013, the young director Wen Muye won the special honor of the jury of the 7th first youth film exhibition with his short film battle. In 2014, the young director Xin Yukun won the best feature film and best director of the 8th first for his heart labyrinth. Four years later, Xin Yukun's new film breaking silence was officially released. The film exhibition will last until August 4, and the first Youth Film Festival will be held on that day.
