On the 18th, the "Xi'an stele forest cross strait temporary Book Exhibition" opened in Taipei, displaying rubbings of famous steles collected by Xi'an stele forest museum and excellent calligraphy works collected from all walks of life on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. In the hot summer, citizens and calligraphy lovers shuttle through the "pen and ink forest" to enjoy the tranquility and coolness brought by the art of calligraphy. This exhibition is co sponsored by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Shaanxi cultural relics Exchange Association, Taiwan Chinese Hanwei Culture Promotion Association, and undertaken by Xi'an Beilin Museum. Chenchunlin, President of Taiwan Chinese Hanwei Culture Promotion Association, said in an interview that Taiwan's calligraphy lovers span all ages. He hoped that this exhibition could help Taiwan audiences understand the essence and cultural charm of stele calligraphy, and promote mutual exchanges and progress between calligraphy lovers on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The exhibition hall is arranged in black, white and red, representing a complete calligraphy work composed of white paper, black ink and red seals. In the first part of the exhibition, ten copies of rubbings of famous steles, such as Yan Zhenqing's "Yan Qinli stele" and Wang Xizhi's "preface to the holy religion of collecting the king's three Zang" collected in the forest of Steles in Xi'an, will be displayed to introduce the evolution of the five body calligraphy of "seal character, official script, regular script, line and grass" and the artistic characteristics of famous poets; In the second part, the five units of "he, Yi, Miao, Shen and Neng" are used to display the calligraphy treasures of calligraphers such as linrongsen and chenkunyi and the award-winning folk works. It is reported that the award-winning works exhibited this time mainly include the famous stele inscriptions collected by Xi'an stele forest museum, and more than 1600 pieces of temporary works were collected from people from all walks of life on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Experts from both sides of the Strait jointly selected 101 award-winning works, including 50 award-winning works from Taiwan. Among them, one of the provisional award-winning works of the mysterious tower tablet is from a Taiwanese college student in his twenties. Its fresh and elegant strokes reveal the inheritance and innovation of the younger generation in the art of calligraphy. Chenchunlin said that the relationship between "tradition" and "innovation" is not antagonistic, but inheritance and development. New people come out from generation to generation and new ideas come from generation to generation. This is the spirit of the exhibition named "opening new books in the face of the past and sharing the glory of the book". At the opening ceremony, Luo Wenli, honorary president of Shaanxi cultural relics Exchange Association, said in a video speech that the calligraphy art displayed on the steles is not only an important carrier of Chinese civilization, but also the spiritual source of the strong cohesion of the Chinese nation. The purpose of holding this exhibition is to build a bridge for cultural exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and make calligraphy a link to inherit Chinese culture. The organizer also planned interactive activities such as dry extension experience, steel seal experience and spelling experience. In a corner of the exhibition hall, Ms. Liang, a calligraphy enthusiast, experienced Gan Tuo's filial piety with great interest. She said that calligraphy is the treasure of traditional culture. To understand calligraphy, we must first understand the culture behind it. It is reported that the temporary book exhibition in Taipei will last until July 3, and will be continued in Nantou from September 3 to October 30. Previously, this exhibition was exhibited in Xi'an stele forest museum in April. (Xinhua News Agency)
