A research paper entitled "effectiveness and safety of vibration capsule in the treatment of functional constipation: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multicenter trial" was published on May 25, local time in the electronic clinical medicine, a sub issue of the world-famous medical journal The Lancet. The research results showed that 64% of the patients improved their constipation symptoms after using the vibration capsule, and increased their complete self defecation at least once a week, which was higher than the effective rate of 36% in the control group. Functional constipation is one of the most common constipation, and it is also a very difficult disease to cure. Repeated visits, unnecessary examinations and a long course of disease have brought great psychological pressure to patients and constituted a huge economic burden. Professor Li Jingnan from the Department of Gastroenterology of Peking Union Medical College Hospital said: "from the clinical results, the clinical effect of vibration capsule has indeed opened up a new field of constipation treatment." It is reported that the vibration capsule used in the study is the "digestive tract vibration capsule system" independently developed by Shanghai Anhan Medical Technology Co., Ltd. and passed the registration of innovative medical devices by the State Drug Administration at the end of February this year.
