The renovation and exhibition are expected to be completed within this year. It is reported that the residence on Huashan south road is one of Ho Chi Minh's permanent residences in Kunming, later known as "Ho Chi Minh's old residence", covering an area of 121.5 square meters and a construction area of 263 square meters. It was announced as a provincial cultural relics protection unit in Yunnan Province in 2019. "Starting the repair of the old residence fully reflects our remembrance of Ho Chi Minh, our cherishing of the friendship between China and Vietnam and our expectation of working together to create a better future". "President Ho Chi Minh's old residence in China has become a symbol of friendship between Vietnam and China.
