Mr. Chen Zhongshi has passed away for six years. This year is his 80th birthday. His "coffin as pillow" and his painstaking work "Bailuyuan" have been exclusively copyrighted by the people's Literature Publishing House for 30 years. At the beginning of that year's publication, it was printed six times in five months, with 600000 copies. At that time, Luoyang paper was expensive and no one knew it. "Bailuyuan" has been flourishing for a long time. Now it has printed more than 4 million copies and has been continuously adapted into film and television drama works, including drama of Beijing People's art and Shaanxi people's art, film "Bailuyuan", 77 TV dramas with a record audience rating, dance drama, Qin Opera, etc. The influence of this work continues to oscillate, and after the scouring of time, it has become a shining pearl of contemporary literature. On the evening of April 28, the people's Literature Publishing House organized the first of a series of activities to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Chen Zhongshi's birth - "I gave my life to you". Mr. He Qizhi, the contributor of Bailuyuan and the former deputy editor in chief of people's Literature Publishing House, Mr. Hong Qingbo, the former editor in chief of contemporary magazine, and Mr. Xing Xiaoli, executive vice president of Bailuyuan Academy were invited to participate in the activity. More than 300000 people watched the event online. Thank the people's Literature Publishing House and its editors for setting up the "White Deer contemporary literature editor Award" In the spring of 1986, Chen Zhongshi waded across the cold Bahe and took a bus to Lantian County to collect data. After two years of conception and preparation of materials, he began to write White Deer Plain in 1988. It took eight months to complete the first draft, and then took two years to carefully revise it, and finally finalized it in March 1992. After receiving the news of the completion of the manuscript, the people's Literature Publishing House immediately appointed two editors to Xi'an and received a heavy manuscript of 500000 words from Chen Zhongshi. Later, Chen Zhongshi told his friends that at that moment, he seemed to "entrust his life to others". He went home to wait for the arrangement of fate and told his wife that if he couldn't, he would go home to raise chickens and stop writing. People's Literature Publishing House did not live up to Chen Zhongshi's life trust, completed three-level review in the shortest time, immediately replied to the author's review opinions, and highly affirmed the value of this work. The subsequent editing and publishing work was very smooth. The people's Literature Publishing House knew the value of the book and held a work seminar, which was highly praised by the literary circles. "Bailuyuan" became a best seller. The people's Literature Publishing House immediately re signed the contract with Chen Zhongshi, changing the original one-time word remuneration contract into an international royalty contract, which protected the interests of the author. Over the past 30 years, the people's Literature Publishing House has maintained a very good and stable cooperative relationship with Mr. Chen Zhongshi and his children. It is the only owner of the exclusive copyright of Bailuyuan. "Bailuyuan" has been published again and again, and has been pursued and loved by several generations of readers. In 2012, the people's Literature Publishing House planned a large-scale commemoration of the 20 years since the publication of Bailuyuan. Mr. Chen Zhongshi was specially invited to Beijing. For three consecutive days, the reporter's interview schedule was full. "White Deer Plain" has not been forgotten because of the passage of time. On the contrary, the charm of this work has been renewed for a long time. During the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Bailuyuan, Chen Zhongshi proposed that he donate money to establish the "Bailu contemporary literature editor Award" of the people's Literature Publishing House from 2013 to reward the editors who have made outstanding contributions in the field of Chinese contemporary literature. This is the first time in China that a writer has set up an award for editors with his own royalties. From the establishment of this award, we can see that Chen Zhongshi respects, thanks and encourages the people's Literature Publishing House and its editorial work. When he wrote the novella "Mr. blue robe", he came up with the idea of creating "White Deer Plain" Chen Zhongshi grows up in the countryside. After graduating from high school, he failed in the college entrance examination, returned to the village and worked as a private teacher. Later, he worked as a cadre in the commune for ten years. However, he fell in love with literature. After being transferred to Baqiao District Cultural Center, he published more than 30 short stories and features in three years. At the end of 1982, he was transferred to the creative group of Shaanxi Writers Association and became a professional writer. However, Chen Zhongshi not only did not move his home into the city, but moved back to his remote hometown from Hanqiao Town, where the Baqiao District Cultural Center was located. This year, he just crossed the age of 40 and returned to his hometown. He stayed for 10 years. He created medium and short stories such as Kang family courtyard, Bangzi boss, cellar and Mr. blue robe. Mr. blue robe triggered the desire to create novels. After two years of conception and four years of pen work, he finally wrote White Deer Plain. Many years later, Chen Zhongshi was also moved by the original choice of the writing environment of the ancestral house under the root of the north slope of Bailuyuan. "Out of my special psychology, I want to find a quiet or even remote environment to read the books I want to read and the books I can't do without reading. In particular, I need to cool down and chew back on the life I have experienced..." In the summer of 1985, Shaanxi writers' Association held the "Shaanxi novel creation Promotion Association" because the Organization Department of the "Mao Dun Literature Award" for two consecutive sessions asked all provinces to recommend works for evaluation, but Shaanxi Province could not recommend a novel. The reason is not that the selection is too strict, but that as of the summer of 1985, there was no novel creation and publication of new and old writers in Shaanxi. The Provincial Writers' Association has carefully analyzed the creative situation of young writers emerging in Shaanxi. The conclusion is that at least some people's artistic cultivation and ideological ability have reached the heat of long-length writing. They can consider entering the creation of long novels and need to be "promoted". Chen Zhongshi recalled: "I attended the meeting, and several friends said on the spot that they wanted to write a novel. It is certain that Lu Yao did not return to Xi'an after the meeting, but stayed in Yan'an and sat down to draft the ordinary world." Part one. In fact, Lu Yao silently prepared for the writing of this novel as early as a year ago. I made a very short but clear statement at the meeting. I was not prepared to write a novel. I didn't think about when the desire to write a novel would happen. " However, just a few months later, with the coolness of autumn, when Chen Zhongshi sat down to write the novella Mr. blue robe, he sent out a strong idea to write a novel, "almost startled himself." There is nothing specific about this novel. "If you want to find the original image, it is the gatehouse of a quadrangle house inlaid with 'farming and reading heirs'. I want to find out the mysterious story in this gatehouse." Chen Zhongshi wrote in a recall article. In the spring of 1988, Chen Zhongshi sat on a sofa made by a village carpenter in his humble study in his ancestral house, opened a large 16 open hard cover book on his knee, and wrote the first line of the draft of "White Deer Plain" in pen: "Bai Jiaxuan later thought that he had married seven women in his life." At this time, the whole world has been simplified to only one white deer plain (outlook new era)
