In 2014, the implementation opinions of the State Council on deepening the reform of examination and enrollment system led the reform and development of ordinary high schools with the reform of college entrance examination. In 2016, the Ministry of education and other four ministries and commissions jointly issued the plan for the popularization of high school education (2017-2020), focusing on supporting the popularization of high school education in economically underdeveloped areas. In 2019, the guiding opinions of the general office of the State Council on promoting the reform of education methods of ordinary high schools in the new era were issued in time, which not only provided strong policy support for accelerating the reform and development of ordinary high schools, but also put forward new requirements for the reform and development of ordinary high schools. At the end of 2021, the Ministry of education and other nine departments jointly issued the action plan for the development and improvement of ordinary high schools in the county during the 14th Five Year Plan period, the guidelines for the evaluation of the quality of running ordinary high schools issued by the Ministry of education at the beginning of 2022, and a series of basic education reform and development documents issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council in recent years, all of which have promoted the all-round development of ordinary high schools, Lay the foundation for comprehensively improving the overall quality of the people and transporting high-quality reserve talents for national modernization. On the basis of the realization of the goal of high school popularization, the general high school education in various places presents a high-quality development trend. Shanghai took the lead in piloting the new college entrance examination in 2014 and implemented the construction of characteristic high schools in the city. Shandong province implemented the high-quality development strategy of high school education, the "construction plan of characteristic high schools" and actively explored the reform of high school schools integrating general and vocational education. Liaoning Province formulated the "Implementation Opinions on the popularization plan of high and middle school education in Liaoning Province (2017-2020)" in October 2017, focusing on the high-level connotation development of high school education Balanced development with high standards and diversified development with high quality. The reform of these provinces and cities has set an example for other regions. At present, ordinary high schools all over China show positive and innovative reform efforts, and vigorously promote the education reform of ordinary high schools. For a long time, the reform of ordinary high schools has always been regarded as the most "difficult" field, but my personal experience in research and consultation in the past 10 years tells me that with the increasingly clear development policies of ordinary high schools, the reform power and innovation activity of local and ordinary high schools will be released more greatly; Under the guidance of the new development concept, the new pattern of high-quality development of ordinary high school education will be synchronized with the new pattern of educational modernization of the whole country.
