For other institutions, how to do a good job in academic evaluation? The academic evaluation of liberal arts has distinct purpose and value, and the achievements of humanities are mostly presented in works. The evaluation of representative works has become one of the basic principles of liberal arts evaluation in the new era. Professor Jiang Chunlin of the Department of Humanities and social sciences of Dalian University of technology has done research on the evaluation of representative works. He lamented that academic evaluation is a highly complex and challenging work. In different evaluation scenarios, the evaluation index system will also be different. The evaluation method should serve the purpose of evaluation, and the effect is also affected by many factors. He expects that China can build a professional book review database, build an academic evaluation research community, and make more use of the power of technology, such as the application of large-scale Book full-text mining technology based on big data and artificial intelligence. For example, it lacks the perspective of scale evaluation and cannot make interdisciplinary comparison; It is difficult to compare the representative works of scholars of different research types in the same discipline, and the discipline heterogeneity affects the evaluation effect of representative works. At the level of peer review, the review experts also have limited knowledge. Yu Liping boldly pointed out that it is not appropriate to expand the scope of application of representative work evaluation at will, especially in macro evaluation, such as discipline evaluation, representative work evaluation is not recommended. Further refinement of classified evaluation is the prerequisite for the evaluation and application of representative works. It is necessary to establish a review system that takes into account both quantitative assessment and representative works system, improve the standardization and quality of peer review of representative works, give colleges and universities some autonomy, and recommend the promotion of some new literature measurement indicators. Wang Yumei suggested that the existing objective evaluation methods can be improved and perfected. For example, we should make all kinds of academic journals better, form a more fair and impartial review and use procedures and a selection mechanism for high-quality manuscripts, and increase the use of objective evaluation data of various secondary literature communication platforms, including newspaper materials copied by the National People's Congress.
