On April 23, on March 23 of the lunar calendar, representatives of 114 Mazu temples on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong and Macao gathered at the Tianhou ancestral temple of Xianliang port in Putian to jointly commemorate the 1062nd anniversary of Mazu's birth online and offline and participate in the sacrificial ceremony of "Mazu returning to his mother's house". "The two sides of the Strait share the same ancestry, and Mazu's spirit of virtue, kindness and great love is also a tradition that we have always followed." Lin Chen Guohao, a representative of Taiwan businessmen and Taiwan's Mailiao gongfan palace, said that the event promoted cross-strait non-governmental exchanges and cultural integration, and jointly prayed for cross-strait peace and good weather. During the event, video connections were made to temples on both sides of the Strait, such as Wenfeng palace in Putian, the back palace of pinghaitian, Taiwan Mazu Friendship Association, LAN palace in Dajia town and Xing'an palace in Lugang, so as to realize the "cloud" worship Mazu and pray online. The sacrificial custom of "Mazu returning to his mother's house" is one of the important contents of Mazu belief and customs activities in the world intangible cultural heritage.
