For children, cultivating their interest in reading, learning reading methods and developing reading habits are of great benefit to their spiritual nourishment, aesthetic shaping and knowledge reserve. Using reading to illuminate children's growth path, "reading with books" is the basic requirement. Some educators once said that when children in remote rural schools have as many high-quality books as children in central cities, their spiritual development starts from the same starting line. In Lawu Yi Township, Binchuan County, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, Xie Hongfen, principal of Lawu Quanquan primary school, often carries a schoolbag full of carefully selected books on weekends and goes to students' homes to study with their children and parents. For these children, a thin book can let them see the wider world. At present, in some central and western regions, many children have few extracurricular reading materials. How to provide these children with more high-quality books and protect their reading rights is not only a problem worth pondering, but also an important task to promote educational equity. On the basis of "reading with books", reading good books puts forward higher requirements for reading quality. In the era of the rapid development of the Internet and social media, there is no shortage of books themselves, but most children still face the confusion of "what book to read" and "how to read". When "shallow reading" and "broken reading" are filled in front of us, if we do not enhance our screening ability and thinking ability, it is easy to lose our direction in the boundless ocean of information and turn our own mind into a "racetrack" of other people's thoughts. Some time ago, the Ministry of Education issued the measures for the administration of extracurricular reading materials for primary and secondary school students on campus, clarifying the quality standards of extracurricular reading materials, and requiring schools to do a good job in the primary selection, evaluation, confirmation, filing and other links of extracurricular reading materials on campus. This measure can prevent problem books from entering the campus to a certain extent and help to give full play to the educational function of reading. The purpose of "reading with books" and "reading good books" is to let children form the good habit of "loving reading". Reading is an important way and content of education. To create a good reading atmosphere for children and make children love reading, gain and enjoy reading requires the concerted efforts of all sectors of society.
