Recently, the overwintering white cranes in Poyang Lake area of Jiangxi Province have successively moved north. According to migratory bird experts, this year's winter white crane moved north a little later than in previous years. Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China, is an internationally important wetland and the largest winter habitat for migratory birds in Asia. From October to march of the next year, hundreds of thousands of migratory birds arrive in Poyang Lake for winter, and 98% of the world's white cranes overwinter here.
