On April 7, State Councilor and foreign minister Wang Yi held a telephone conversation with Mongolian foreign minister batzeg at request. The more volatile the international situation is, the more China and Mongolia, as close neighbors, need to strengthen communication, enhance mutual trust and deepen cooperation. Batzeg fully agreed and said that Mongolia is willing to work with China to implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, close exchanges at all levels and strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields. Recently, the "green channel" between China and Mongolia has been reopened, and positive progress has been made in railway transportation, highway cargo, port customs clearance and energy and mineral trade between the two sides. China is willing to work with Mongolia to speed up the construction of China Russia Mongolia Economic Corridor and promote the connection of China Mongolia railway transportation lines. China will continue to provide anti epidemic materials and equipment to Mongolia, support Mongolia to strengthen epidemic prevention and control and ensure the smooth operation of ports. The two sides agreed to continue to firmly support each other in safeguarding sovereignty, security and development interests, free from external interference and promote the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations. Batzeg said that Mongolia respects China's core concerns and will, as always, independently handle its religious affairs. The two sides exchanged views on multilateral affairs. Bartzeg appreciated China's role as a big country in uniting against the epidemic and responding to the crisis in Ukraine, and spoke positively of China's consistent commitment to promoting peace, promoting talks, resolving differences and providing humanitarian assistance.
