Communication: Chinese wisdom in 5g smart hospital in Thailand

Under the guidance of hospital doctors, emergency personnel quickly carry out preliminary treatment for patients in critical condition before admission. Weishi, President of Siriraj Hospital, recently told Xinhua that the traffic in Thailand is very congested, and saving time is of great significance to first aid patients. Since 5g ambulance was put into use, the survival rate of emergency patients has been greatly improved. 5g ambulance is part of the 5g smart hospital project in Thailand. At the end of last year, Thailand launched this digital technology medical project with Sri Raj hospital as a pilot. The project introduces technologies such as 5g, cloud and artificial intelligence of Huawei in China, from 5g ambulance admission, artificial intelligence assisted diagnosis to telemedicine after discharge, so as to help Siriraj Hospital realize comprehensive intelligent transformation of service process. This is also the first 5g smart hospital project officially launched by Huawei in ASEAN. This year, Huawei will introduce these solutions to other hospitals in Thailand. In Siriraj Hospital, which has a history of more than 100 years, medical staff put drugs in white unmanned vehicles, set the temperature and destination, and the lightweight unmanned vehicles shuttle between the buildings of the hospital, greatly reducing personnel contact during the epidemic. The doctor in front of the screen quickly obtains high-definition CT images and prescribes the right medicine. The other end of the screen is connected with patients hundreds of kilometers away. Patients no longer have to cross mountains and mountains to see doctors in the city as before. Siriraj Hospital is a hospital under the jurisdiction of mahelon University in Thailand. Bashi, Dean of the medical school of mahelon University, told reporters: "the development of all parts of Thailand is uneven and the medical resources in remote areas are scarce. 5g network helps to achieve fair medical treatment. Huawei has made 5g smart medicine a reality in Thailand through powerful technology. We are full of confidence in China's technology." He said that remote diagnosis and treatment requires high image definition and transmission speed of patients, which cannot be met by 4G transmission. 5g network has the characteristics of large bandwidth and low delay, which can ensure the second download of medical images and the lossless transmission of ultra-high definition video, so as to effectively improve the medical treatment experience of telemedicine. During the epidemic, through cooperation with Huawei, doctors reduced the diagnosis time of each case from 15 minutes to 25 seconds, and improved the CT film accuracy to 97%. Bashi said that Huawei not only built 5g network infrastructure in Siriraj Hospital, but also provided the hospital with a hybrid Cloud Architecture to ensure information security and talent training. "This project brings the first mock exam of HUAWEI, hospitals and Thailand start-ups together to develop targeted medical procedures and explore ways to provide better medical services. 5G smart hospital project has created a new model, and I plan to extend this model to the ASEAN medical school network." Deng Feng, general manager of Huawei Thailand, told reporters that Thailand has a good network infrastructure, but 5g technology has just started, and the hospital is still exploring how to use 5g technology to help patients. Huawei hopes to establish a 5g smart medical joint laboratory with Siriraj Hospital to explore the application of 5g, blockchain and artificial intelligence in the medical field in the future. In addition to medical treatment, Huawei has also built a digital ecosystem in more than 10 industries such as smart city, transportation, energy and education in Thailand. China has paved the way for Thailand's 5g development, and China's 5g development experience will benefit Thailand.
