Why did Wang Wei, the poetic Buddha, turn from Confucianism to Buddhism? How did he deal with his inner difficulties between his accession to the WTO and his birth? Recently, the essay collection of five poets of the Tang Dynasty by Zhang Wei, winner of Mao Dun Literature Award, gave his own answers to these questions. The book condenses the crystallization of Zhang Wei's study of ancient poetry for more than 20 years. It selects five important poets of the Tang Dynasty, Wang Wei, Han Yu, Bai Juyi, Du Mu and Li Shangyin, and goes deep into their spiritual and artistic world from the perspective of history, philosophy, poetics, aesthetics, literary history and writing, so as to revive each poet in the text. He has been 'accelerating' in the process of explaining things, with a decisive attitude." "In order to complete this extraordinary expression, he needs to find some words that reach the extreme state, so he has a novel way of sentence making. Whether it is metaphor or description, it should be strong and deep, and it will never be shallow." When it comes to Li Shangyin's untitled poems, it is believed that "these poems are free from the sadness and groans of similar poems because of their unique decisiveness, sadness, agility and sharpness. The groans we are familiar with are rare here." From "reading the book of songs", "notes on Chu Ci", "Tao Yuanming's legacy", "also said Li Bai and Du Fu", "beautiful annals", to "five poets of the Tang Dynasty", Zhang Wei completed his own classical poetics system. Just as the literal interpretation is not a kind of poetic interpretation. Zhang Wei attaches importance to mining the complex quality of individual life, so that each topic can directly take its origin. (outlook new era)
