In 2021, the Ministry of ecology and environment issued the reform plan for the legal disclosure system of environmental information and the management measures for the legal disclosure of enterprise environmental information and other supporting documents. According to Yan Gang, the management measures focus on key enterprises and important environmental information. According to laws and regulations, enterprises with large pollutant emissions, high environmental risks, toxic and harmful substances, high social attention and closely related to the interests of citizens are identified as the main body of environmental information disclosure, which comprehensively reflects the compliance of enterprises with ecological environment laws and regulations and environmental governance. When an enterprise's environmental behavior may have a significant impact on society, the public and investors or cause market risks, it is required to disclose relevant important environmental information in time to further protect the public's right to know and prevent environmental and market risks. "The ultimate purpose of information disclosure is to promote the use of information and better serve environmental management." He said that the reform of environmental information disclosure has clarified the management responsibilities of more than 10 relevant departments, established an information sharing mechanism and formed a joint management force.
