By the end of 2021, a total of 36689 applications had been received, of which 9131 applicants had been allocated places. Deng Bingqiang introduced that the applicant came from nearly 100 countries or regions. Among the allocated places, the top three places are the mainland of China, the United States and Canada. The top three industries are financial and accounting services, information technology and telecommunications, and construction, surveying, engineering and construction. Deng Bingqiang said that one belt, one road to the development of Hongkong's economy, will continue to be open to attracting talents from the region, and to attract more high-quality talents from the future economic development in Hongkong. It will seize the great opportunities for national development and the "one belt and one road" initiative, and support Hongkong's long-term economic development.
