2022-01-19

On January 18, 2022, according to the relevant personnel of Han Wei city team of Luoyang, Henan Province, Institute of archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the archaeological achievements of the site were fruitful in 2021. Xianyang palace and Yongxiang sites were newly discovered in Miyagi district. The shape and layout of Miyagi became clearer, laying a further foundation for the restoration and display of the site. Luoyang City site in Han and Wei dynasties is located in the east of Baimasi Town, Luolong District, Luoyang City, about 15 kilometers away from the central urban area. Founded in the Western Zhou Dynasty, it is the capital of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Cao Wei Dynasty, the Western Jin Dynasty and the Northern Wei Dynasty. For nearly 600 years, it has lived in the political, economic and cultural center of the country. It is one of the longest used capitals in ancient China, with rich historical and cultural connotation. In 1962, the Luoyang Han Wei city team of the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of social sciences began the archaeological excavation of the Han Wei Luoyang City site, which has lasted for nearly 60 years. Among them, the archaeology of Miyagi district began around 2000. From 2010 to 2020, it mainly excavated the Taiji hall, the first Miyagi main hall "building a neutral pole" in Chinese history. Since 2020, archaeologists have carried out large-scale archaeological work on the architectural sites in the north of Taiji hall, successively excavated and confirmed the location, shape and preservation of Xianyang hall, Xianyang palace courtyard and Yongxiang in the palace city, and basically defined the architectural layout and functional zoning in the palace city. LV Jinsong, director of Luoyang Han Wei ancient city site management office, said that as one of the first large site protection projects in China, in recent years, the Han Wei Luoyang City National Archaeological Site Park has successively completed the tower foundation of Yongning Temple in the Northern Wei Dynasty, the gate of the palace city, the gate of the palace city by means of ground simulation, plant identification and exposed covering, guided by the protection requirements of world cultural heritage and the planning of the site park The site protection and exhibition projects such as the stop door of the second palace gate, the end door of the third palace gate, tongtuo street, the inner street of xiyangmen, the northeast city wall of the inner city and the west city wall have begun to take shape. The site park has influenced the urban planning of later generations, the urban pattern of the Han and Wei dynasties deeply buried underground for 1500 years and the basic appearance of the axis of the palace city, so that people can appreciate the prosperity of the former hehe emperor capital and the vicissitudes of historical changes thousands of years ago. In the next step, Luoyang will focus on the construction of the Han Wei Luoyang City Site Museum, closely focus on the protection and exhibition of the inner city wall, historical road network, Tai Chi hall, southern ritual area and other major sites and the heritage of the Silk Road, continue to promote the construction of the archaeological site park, and build the Han Wei Luoyang City National Archaeological Site Park into a comprehensive site protection, scientific research It is a "cultural and tourism punch in place" integrating cultural relics protection and tourism development.
