The Maitreya Buddha statue made of lotus seat tin bronze is 1.3m high. During the 2020 Maitreya cultural festival in Xuedou mountain, more than 100 Taiwanese businessmen and Taiwanese youth from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian and other places witnessed the opening of Xuedou mountain in Fenghua. In September this year, the Taiwan Federation of Fenghua District escorted it to Yuhuan Wharf in Zhejiang Province and sent it to Taiwan by direct ship. It is reported that through the Maitreya Buddha statue and Taiwan's charity activities, the in-depth exchanges of Buddhist culture between the two sides of the Strait have been enhanced, and the national feelings of compatriots on both sides of the strait with the same root and homology have been deepened. Since the beginning of this year, relying on the living room platform of the "cross strait exchanges" committee, Fenghua district has successively carried out activities such as offering condolences to Taiwan compatriots and their families in the Spring Festival, guiding Taiwan compatriots and the younger generation to visit their ancestors, conducting democratic consultations around "how to promote cross-strait grass-roots exchanges", and organizing the Mid Autumn Festival friendship of Ningbo Taiwan compatriots and their families in 2021, so as to enhance cross-strait exchanges and interaction in various forms, Constantly deepen the friendship between compatriots on both sides of the Strait.
