This is the first time that China uses the space station manipulator to operate a large on orbit spacecraft for transposition test. In the early morning of January 6, the manipulator successfully captured the tianzhou-2 cargo spacecraft. At 6:12, the swivel test began. After the tianzhou-2 cargo spacecraft was unlocked and separated from the Tianhe core module, the plane transposition was carried out with the spherical center of the node module of the core module as the circle center under the drag of the mechanical arm; Then, reverse the operation until the cargo ship is re docked with the core module and locked. This test preliminarily tested the feasibility and effectiveness of using the manipulator to operate the space station cabin transposition, verified the space station cabin transposition technology and the manipulator heavy load control technology, and accumulated experience for the subsequent on orbit assembly and construction of the space station.
