Return home in five years, twice in ten years! Let's listen to Qian Xuesen's scientific research story

Qian Xuesen: an eternal model for spacemen ■ Du Mingxin December 11 this year is the 110th anniversary of Qian Xuesen's birth. Recently, the first Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology Group held a "youth symposium to commemorate the 110th anniversary of Comrade Qian Xuesen's birth". On the live projection screen, when Qian Xuesen's former great figure reappeared, the experts present were all moved. Everyone agreed that Qian Xuesen's spirit is like the "Qian Xuesen star" in space. It will always be the star of astronauts' life, academic research and entrepreneurship, guiding them to a more far-reaching star sea. Please see academician Yu Menglun of the first Academy of Aerospace Science and technology group, Han Houjian, chief designer of a certain type of rocket, Wei Qiyong, deputy chief designer of a certain type of rocket, Gao Fenglin, aerospace special fusion welder and other expert representatives tell Qian Xuesen's scientific research story with deep feelings in combination with their own experience. At the "youth symposium to commemorate the 110th anniversary of Comrade Qian Xuesen's birth", old, middle-aged and young experts spoke and exchanged views. Jia Fengshe Yu Menglun: "to engage in scientific research, we must integrate theory with practice" Qian Xuesen's words have affected my life. In 1956, Qian Xuesen came to Peking University to give lectures for the first time. At that time, sitting under the stage, I was lucky to listen to Qian Xuesen's lecture. So far, I still remember what he said at that time: "we should integrate theory with practice in scientific research." When I was in college, I studied in the Department of mathematical mechanics. I had few practical opportunities and could not fully understand the real connotation of this sentence. In the 1960s, after graduating from University, I came to the first branch of the Fifth Academy of Defense (the predecessor of the first Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Group) of the Ministry of national defense to engage in missile research and began to move from theory to practice. At that time, China's aerospace industry was moving from imitation to independent development, and vigorously carried out the development of dongfeng-2 missile. Unfortunately, however, the first flight of the dongfeng-2 missile failed. The first time I tasted the taste of failure, I was very lost and at a loss. After fault analysis, Qian Xuesen said: "the reasons for the failure are: first, the practical problem of arrow body elasticity is not paid attention to; second, the ground test is not sufficient and is more limited to theoretical research." Later, under the guidance of Qian Xuesen, after more than two years of research and analysis, design modification and dozens of large-scale ground tests, the dongfeng-2 missile launch mission was successful, turning a new page in the history of China's missile development. "To engage in scientific research, we must integrate theory with practice." The two meetings with Qian Xuesen made me feel that Qian Xuesen is not only a scientist, but also a practitioner integrating theory with practice. Theory comes from practice, guides practice, and must be tested by practice. Han Houjian: "lead me to the space road" Looking at Qian Lao's historical photos and work notes, the past is vivid. Qian Xuesen not only has extraordinary wisdom and outstanding contribution, but also has extraordinary personality charm. The more you know about Qian Xuesen, the more you can feel his master character. Qian has always been my model. There are three things that I will never forget. The first thing happened in 1956. When I was 15 years old, I was lucky to be sent to Beijing to participate in the national "aviation enthusiast summer camp". Towards the end of the course, the summer camp teacher ended with Qian Xuesen's words: "tomorrow is another era of human culture, an era of man-made satellites and interstellar flight." This prediction was even earlier than the launch of the world's first man-made satellite. I was so excited that I wrote down this paragraph in my diary. In 1962, after graduating from University, I came to work in the first branch of the Fifth Academy of national defense. At that time, someone asked me, "how do you think of doing Aerospace?" I replied, "it was Qian Xuesen's prediction in 1956 that led me to the road of aerospace." The second thing happened on July 14, 1963. I first met Qian Xuesen, a long admired scientist, who was then vice president of the Fifth Academy of defense of the Ministry of national defense. On that day, I was disassembling a missile in a general assembly workshop of a branch. Qian Xuesen rushed to the scene ahead of time before the leaders of the branch came. It happened that that day was the weekend, and the master in charge of shoes was not in, so he couldn't take out white work shoes for the moment. I saw a leader take off his shoes and go straight to me. It was Qian Xuesen! He looked at the product carefully and asked me, "Why are there pits in the storage tank?" I replied, "it's deflated. It's likely that the negative pressure is unstable." Qian Xuesen nodded approvingly. Although it has been more than 50 years, Qian Xuesen has deeply impressed me by going deep into the front line and respecting young talents. Every time I think about Qian Lao, I can see him walking through the black clay ground in white socks. The third thing happened on July 31, 1985. On that day, when I attended the meeting to make a report, I was lucky to see Qian Xuesen again. At that time, I was the second to make a report. During lunch, Qian Xuesen and I analyzed the problems existing in the first speaker's report. He also described his work experience in the United States and taught me how to make a report. Qian Xuesen said to me, "when making a report, we should not only look at the occasion and object, but also pay attention to logic and organization." According to Qian Xuesen's guidance, I adjusted the content of the report, and the response was very good. I will keep his words in mind and use them all my life. Wei Qiyong: "lessons learned from failure are often more valuable than successful experience." I was one of the first batch of college students to work in the first branch of the Fifth Academy of national defense. Qian Xuesen is both my teacher and my predecessor. In my mind, Qian Xuesen is a great scientist. He left me four impressions: loving the motherland, approachable, farsighted and playing an important role at a critical time. At the beginning of China's space industry, astronauts started from scratch. At that time, we had never seen missiles. Qian Xuesen gave us "literacy" and talked about "Introduction to missiles". Qian Xuesen's lesson is simple and easy, which makes us learn a lot about missiles. We firmly believe that "through overcoming all difficulties, we will be able to build our own missiles and make the country strong!" At that time, we were just ordinary designers. Every time we went to make a report, Qian Xuesen would stand up and greet us, which moved me very much. I admire Qian Xuesen's wisdom and foresight. I still remember that after the failure of the first flight of dongfeng-2 missile, Qian Xuesen encouraged everyone: "don't lose heart, seriously sum up experience and lessons." Later, Qian Xuesen led everyone to formulate the "70 articles" for the development work of the Fifth Academy of national defense. In the following development tasks, failures rarely occur. Lessons learned from failure are often more valuable than successful experience. Gao Fenglin: "spiritual inspiration makes me make the impossible possible" Since my first day in office, I have often heard master Chen Jifeng tell the story of Qian Xuesen. In the 1960s, China began to develop missiles independently. Among them, the engine is the "heart" of the missile, the development work is very complex, and the tests have failed repeatedly. Qian Xuesen came to the scene to check the reasons. When he left, he said to Chen Jifeng, "combustion is unstable and burning in different areas." At that time, master Chen didn't understand what this sentence meant, but after careful study, he found the root of the problem. He successfully designed a stabilizing device, from which the difficult problem of engine test was overcome. "Make the experiment a success." Master Chen still remembers Qian Xuesen's words. Qian Xuesen is not only a name, but also a spirit. In recent years, as a special fusion welder in aerospace, I have overcome more than 200 technical difficulties. Inspired by Qian Xuesen's spirit, I grew up all the way and made many impossible things possible. (outlook new era)
