This year, by the end of November, 332000 disabled children had received rehabilitation assistance. Compared with the whole year of 2020, the number of disabled children benefited increased by nearly 50000. According to reports, in terms of efforts to expand the coverage of relief, after the positive application of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the central government's capital investment this year increased by 400 million yuan over the previous year. At the same time, local disabled persons' federations actively communicate and coordinate with relevant departments, strive to invest more funds in rehabilitation assistance for disabled children, timely improve the assistance standards and expand the scope of assistance, so that more disabled children can receive rehabilitation assistance. In terms of optimizing relief handling services, the China Disabled Persons' Federation has established a weekly notification mechanism for overdue and unapproved rehabilitation assistance applications for disabled children, extracted the overdue and unapproved application information from the national rehabilitation assistance information management system for disabled children every week, and notified and reminded the working group of the national rehabilitation system. Since this year, all localities have been urged to handle 5255 overdue applications in a timely manner. In terms of improving the quality of relief services, the China Disabled Persons' Federation continued to entrust a third-party organization to carry out the verification and evaluation of the satisfaction of rehabilitation services for disabled children.
