After years of continuous tracking and observation of its native growth, consulting literature and comparing samples of similar species, researchers finally determined it as a new species of shidoulan. Because the middle and upper parts of its stamen columnar teeth are curved like anchors, it is obviously different from other species of Eupatorium, so the researchers named it anchor tooth curly petal orchid. In recent years, the researchers of Wuhan Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences found that there are some plants in Shennongjia, Lichuan and other places. At the time of the publication of the new species, domestic experts found that there were also distribution of Spiraea in Guangxi, Guizhou, Hunan and other places during field investigation.
