The reporter learned from Yungang Research Institute on the 8th that Shanxi Key Laboratory for the protection and inheritance of grotto temples has settled in Yungang Research Institute. The laboratory is jointly constructed with Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Beijing Architecture University and Shanghai University, focusing on the research and formulation of technologies, directions and standards for the protection and inheritance of grotto temples. Shanxi has many cultural relics and is a famous province of cultural relics in China. According to the third national cultural relics census, there are 244 grotto temples and 254 cliff statues in Shanxi. The laboratory plans to invest 100 million yuan (RMB, the same below) for scientific research and infrastructure construction, including 23 million yuan to build Yungang Advanced Computing Center, which is the first advanced computing platform of the national cultural relics system; Invested 8 million yuan to build the world heritage monitoring center of Yungang Grottoes. The construction of Shanxi Provincial Key Laboratory for the protection and inheritance of grotto temples is an important platform to promote the construction of "Yungang science".
