A Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal connects north-south transportation and thousands of cities and towns. In this treasure belt, Tangqi, an ancient town in Linping District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, is an important waterway and a millennium civilization. It is like a bright pearl inlaid at the southernmost end of the Grand Canal. Wandering in the unique water street of Tangqi Town, the rich historical and cultural atmosphere is coming, and the splendid intangible cultural heritage culture has gained new vitality and become more and more prosperous in time. In Tangqi Town, the history of mulberry planting and silkworm rearing is very long. Qingshui silk floss originated from Tangqi is named after the water is clean and clear. It is the top grade of silk floss. It was well-known in the Tang Dynasty. In 2008, the production technology of Qingshui silk floss was listed in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. In 2009, it was listed in the representative list of human intangible cultural heritage as part of "Chinese traditional sericulture and silk weaving technology". Due to the high production cost of manual silk floss, Qingshui silk floss once declined. Yu Caigen, a representative inheritor of national intangible cultural heritage projects, insisted on running his own Qingshui silk workshop and trained a number of inheritors through teaching apprentices and passing on skills. In 2020, Linping District newly identified two young district level representative inheritors, optimized the age structure of project inheritors, and laid a foundation for the protection and development of the project. In addition, relevant departments communicate with local silk and cotton production enterprises, encourage them to develop relevant cultural and creative products and intangible cultural heritage derivatives, further integrate into the construction of beautiful villages, and promote sericulture farmers and silk and cotton production farmers to increase their income. In 2014, the Grand Canal successfully applied for the world heritage, bringing new development opportunities to the Millennium ancient town. Over the past seven years, Tangqi has shown the world its profound historical heritage and cultural charm by constantly exploring the protection, inheritance and utilization of the excellent traditional culture of the Grand Canal. "Tangqi town has deeply excavated the Grand Canal Culture with local characteristics, and realized the intergenerational inheritance and rescue protection of a number of intangible cultural heritages by applying for the list of intangible cultural heritages, introducing market forces and holding various activities." the relevant person in charge of Tangqi town government introduced. In 2020, with the theme of Grand Canal cultural heritage, Linping district was successfully shortlisted for the establishment of provincial cultural heritage ecological protection zones in Zhejiang Province. In the context of the construction of the Grand Canal National Cultural Park, Linping district has successively carried out cultural gene decoding, 24 solar term Tour Series brand activities, the evaluation of the survival of intangible cultural heritage projects and the inheritance activities of representative inheritors, and improved the construction of intangible cultural heritage database. The Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, which is located in Yujiashan ruins park and covers an area of 3000 square meters, has also been approved. Through raising funds from social forces, a number of intangible cultural heritage experience bases, learning centers and exhibition halls have been built. With the development of the Grand Canal tourism resources, Linping district has also further promoted the creative transformation and innovative development of the Grand Canal intangible cultural heritage. It has provided a broader space for the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage by developing high-quality tourism routes with intangible cultural heritage themes, planning non heritage collection cities, cultivating night performance activities of intangible cultural heritage, and developing non heritage cultural creativity. "I swear: I volunteer to be a volunteer for the protection and inheritance of the Grand Canal Culture..." on June 11 this year, 100 volunteers for the cultural inheritance of the Grand Canal made an oath to protect the Grand Canal beside Guangji Bridge in Tangqi town. At the same time, it also opened the prelude to a series of activities of "cultural and Natural Heritage Day" and "Linping intangible cultural heritage season" in 2021. During the intangible cultural heritage season, activities such as the intangible cultural heritage Shopping Festival, "young intangible cultural heritage" legend telling competition and the Grand Canal cultural creation and Design Competition demonstrated the charm of the intangible cultural heritage of the Grand Canal in many aspects, and also realized the "seeing people, seeing things and seeing life" of the intangible cultural heritage protection of the Grand Canal. "The establishment of the cultural heritage ecological reserve is a systematic project. 2021 is a key year for the promotion of the Grand Canal cultural heritage ecological reserve. We will go all out to carry out the establishment work according to the plan and strive to build the Grand Canal cultural heritage ecological reserve into a model project for the protection, development and utilization of cultural heritage." Said the relevant person in charge of Linping District Bureau of culture, radio, television, tourism and sports. (outlook new era)
