In the traditional pulp production process, pulp bleaching usually reacts with acid through sodium hypochlorite, and the bleaching process takes one and a half to two hours, which is usually called "chlorine bleaching". In the production of pulp, the fiber in wood is the final component of pulp, and the separated lignin is the main material to blacken the wastewater. In Ji Xingxiang's opinion, "we have separated the lignin in the black liquor, so that the waste liquid generated in pulp production becomes clear. The separated lignin can be used as adhesive for wood processing, pigment dispersant and water reducer for cement, which not only solves the problem of wastewater treatment, widens the industrial chain of pulp and paper, but also produces new economic benefits."
