Case 1: the data of an airline was stolen by a network attack by an overseas spy intelligence agency In January 2020, an airline reported to the national security organ that its information system was abnormal and suspected of being attacked by the network. The national security organ immediately conducted technical inspection to confirm that the relevant information system was attacked by network weapons, several important servers and network equipment were implanted with special Trojan horse programs, and some passenger travel records and other data were stolen. After further investigation, the national security organ found that the information systems of many other airlines were subjected to the same type of network attack and data theft. After in-depth investigation, it is confirmed that the relevant attacks were carefully planned and secretly implemented by an overseas espionage and intelligence organ. Multiple technical vulnerabilities were used in the attack, and multiple network devices were used to jump to hide the trace. In view of this situation, the national security organ timely assisted the airlines concerned to completely eliminate the implanted special Trojan horse programs, adjusted the technical security prevention strategies, strengthened the prevention measures, and stopped the further expansion of the harm. Case 2: a case of secretly collecting and stealing shipping data by an overseas consulting and investigation company In May 2021, the work of national security organs found that an overseas consulting and investigation company frequently contacted the management personnel of our large shipping enterprises and agency service companies through Internet, telephone and other means, hired industry consulting experts with high remuneration, established "cooperation" with dozens of personnel in China, and instructed them to widely collect and provide our shipping basic data Specific vessel load information, etc. The investigators further investigated and mastered that the relevant overseas consulting and investigation companies have a close relationship with the espionage and intelligence organs of the country where they are located, undertake a large number of intelligence collection and analysis businesses, and provide the shipping data obtained by domestic personnel to the espionage and intelligence organs of the country. In order to prevent the continuous occurrence of relevant hazards, the national security organ shall timely carry out warning education for relevant domestic personnel, and order the company to strengthen internal personnel management and data security protection measures. At the same time, the relevant activities of the overseas consulting and investigation company were investigated and dealt with according to law. Case 3: Li and others privately set up meteorological observation equipment to collect and transmit sensitive meteorological data abroad In March 2021, the national security organ found that a suspicious meteorological observation equipment was built around an important military base, which has the function of collecting accurate location information and multi-type meteorological data, and the collected data is directly transmitted abroad. According to the investigation of the national security organ, the relevant meteorological observation equipment was purchased by Li online and erected privately. More than 100 sets of similar equipment have been sold to many places across the country, some of which have been erected around our important areas, and the data collected by the relevant equipment have been transmitted to the website of an overseas meteorological observation organization. In fact, the overseas meteorological observation organization was initiated and established by a government department in the name of scientific research, and an important task of the Department is to collect and analyze global meteorological data and information and provide services for its military. The state security organs jointly carried out law enforcement with relevant departments, ordered relevant personnel to dismantle equipment immediately, and eliminated potential risks.
