On the morning of the 23rd, the Navy ship Qi Jiguang, who was carrying out a long-distance internship mission, arrived at the first stop of this voyage visit - Danang, Vietnam, and began a two-day friendly visit to Vietnam. This is Qi Jiguang's first visit to Vietnam after joining the fleet. At around 8am local time, the Qi Jiguang ship, flying the flags of China and Vietnam, slowly docked at Pier 2A of Xiansha Port in Da Nang. Xi Hui, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, Dong Biyou, Consul General of Danang in Vietnam, representatives of Chinese institutions and overseas Chinese, Nguyen Cuiying, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Department of Danang City, relevant personnel from departments such as the Third District of the Vietnamese Navy, the Danang Border Defense Force Command, and the Danang Military Command, as well as representatives of naval officers and soldiers, all arrived at the dock to welcome them. The Vietnamese staff presented a wreath to my task commander and exchanged greetings. During my visit to Vietnam, my mission commander will visit Vice Chairman Wu Jinyan of the People's Committee of Danang City, Lieutenant General Zheng Tingshi, Political Commissar of the Fifth Military Region, and Rear General Mei Zhongding, Political Commissar of the Third Navy Region, and attend a welcome dinner hosted by Rear General Mei Zhongding. I will visit the Vietnamese Navy's Third District Command to have professional exchanges and sports friendly competitions with Vietnamese Navy officers and soldiers. Qi Jiguang's ship will hold a deck reception and open visits to the Vietnamese military, local citizens, overseas Chinese, and personnel from Chinese institutions. Danang is located at the southeast end of Danang Bay in the central part of Vietnam's east coast and is one of the five major municipalities directly under the central government of Vietnam. The Danang Bay is shaped like a horseshoe, with a small tidal range and weak tidal currents. There are natural barriers in the north and south of the bay mouth, making the situation dangerous and providing good shelter from the wind. (Outlook New Era Network)
