On the 19th, the Confucius Institute of Laos National University held a "Confucius Institute Day" themed activity and the opening ceremony of the Chinese Normal University undergraduate program. At the beginning of the activity, students majoring in Chinese normal education from the Confucius Institute of Laos National University brought a dance performance, and Chinese teachers from the Confucius Institute performed a chorus. In his speech, Jiang Zaidong, the Chinese Ambassador to Laos, encouraged students to cherish time, learn skills and be the inheritors of China Laos friendship. Suri Udon, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos, and Hung Pei, Vice President of the National University of Laos, said in their speeches that Laos is willing to continue to deepen cooperation with China in various fields, including education, and cultivate more talents who are enthusiastic about the cause of Laos China friendship and are familiar with the language and culture of Laos and China, so as to contribute to promoting the construction of the Laos China military community. The "Confucius Institute Day" also includes the exhibition of Chinese textbooks, calligraphy, tea art, Chinese painting, Chinese knots and other Chinese cultural experiences. Luo Ming, Chinese president of the Confucius Institute of Laos National University, introduced that the Confucius Institute of Laos National University has trained more than 33000 Lao students since its establishment 12 years ago, and will open a Chinese normal university undergraduate program in 2021.
